We cater to snowmobilers, fisherman, family vacationers, hunters, travelers and more. We offer a small, private resort for those looking to getaway up north. Our individual cottages and two private motel rooms with individual docks and lake frontage set us apart from the rest. We can accommodate up to 45 guests at a time and up to 9 in a single cottage. Each unit has free satellite TV and wireless internet. Pets are welcome. |

need to check out the Root Cellar Resort and Restaurant on Lake Gogebic! The
Root Cellar provides the perfect weekend getaway for friends, family or
couples. We can also accommodate large groups. The Root Cellar is
located on snowmobile trail #13 and ATV trail ES. The Root Cellar was
voted #1 Pit Stop/Restaurant by Snow Goer Magazine for 12 years. We offer many conveniences such as food, lodging, fuel & oil. Lake Gogebic is full of Walleye, Perch, Northern, Small Mouth Bass and the usual pan fish. Our Lodging accommodations feature cabins and brand new motel rooms, with 2 suites. During the summer a single room goes for just $50.00 per night, for 2 people. Then there is the Luxury Suite with a poker table, whirlpool hot tub and private deck! Our 4 cabins are very clean with large decks, vaulted ceilings, full kitchens and fireplaces along with a view of Lake Gogebic and the spacious grounds. The largest cabin sleeps 12 or more with the others around 6-7 people each. Wireless internet is available. All of the lodging units can be rented nightly or weekly. The Restaurant has a rustic atmosphere with log construction and high ceilings. While dining it is not unusual to see the local wildlife roaming the grounds. If you are visiting on a Saturday night or Monday night (in the winter only) you will get in on the best Prime Rib on Lake Gogebic. Come early so you don’t miss out! If you are in the area-stop by! For Snowmobile enthusiasts, we are located right on trail #1, we sell Michigan trail stickers and provide free trail maps, and we have a large flat parking area a heated repair garage for our customers.
