I'm considering coming up from the 12th through the 20th of December. Looking to stay in the western UP. Wondering if folks can recommend cheaper places to stay during the week. Will more than likely be only me for a few of the days, so looking to save a few dollars. Thanks.

Krupp's Resort, located in beautiful downtown Twin Lakes. After looking at John's seasonal forecast, your best bet would be to stay in the lake effect areas of the western U.P., and Twin Lakes is numero uno, south of the Houghton lift bridge anyways.
If they are booked, try the Wildlife Refuge Cabins in South Range, Dave and Lori rock!
