Me and my friends are looking to plan a trip up to Cable, WI. I was there a couple of years ago and we stayed at Lakewoods resort. we were very pleased with the service, but i am just curious about other resorts and hotels. I am looking for price, quality, and trail Accesibility. Any information is greatly appreciated. Also, when is a good time to go and what are some good trips to make in a day? More than likely it would be a friday, saturday, sunday trip. Thank you for your time.

Check out Staudemeyer's 4-Seasons Resort. Very nice cabins and Amanda's hospitality is outstanding.

I'm a big fan of Garmisch. They have very nice cabins, and a good bar & restaurant on site. They are right on the lake that is staked, and you can ride in any direction.

For the best time to go, last two weeks in January and first two weeks in February are good. Lake Namakagon is right on the southern end of the lake effect snow band so snow conditions are normally decent. You can ride in any direction from Gramisch. http://www.garmischresort.com/

I'm a fan of Mogasheen Resort (715-794-2036) But go search Lake Namakagan (not actually, on the web!) and you will find alot of choices.

Lakewoods and Garmish are very nice but kind of spendy.
Stayed at 4 seasons many times, love the place.
Last year they were full so went two Mogasheen, not as nice, no master bed,fireplace,2 baths,
as 4 seasons, but was less price and we were very happy with it because it was on the lake.
Just go two http://www.cable4fun.com/ lodging, resorts.
IT's all in what u want two have and are willing two spend.

All of the above mentioned resorts are great. One not mentioned is Telemark. Here are a few pictures from January 2009.
