We have a hotel booked in Hurley for that weekend. And were planning on riding the Western UP ( Ironwood, Bessember, Lake Gogebic etc...) Should we cancel or give it a shot?

Its a start. With some luck maybe the storm next week that John mentioned on Monday comes back and you could be in business. Tourism has been tough UP there the last couple seasons and it would be great if they got off to a good start and it continues through the Holidays without that dreaded warm up that likes to play havoc.

You should be able to ride in the lake belts by then. Gonna find water holes and rocks, but Superior will cover the area in a great white blanket.

live4this6...I would call the place and confirm if it is a "no snow no show" policy. It is going to be touch and go as to whether you can ride. I am sure they would be reasonable with it being early season.

Yea we can cancel 5 days in advance. We booked it back in October because we went up the first week of december last year and their was 2-4 FEET of snow depending on where u were. This year is a completly different story.
