By matti on Thursday, March 12, 2009 - 09:44 am: Edit Post Hi John. I was at -19F near Duluth this morning (I know other outlying areas up north were probably MUCH colder). I know we didn't approach record territory, but subjectively, is it somewhat rare to have temps this cold in mid-March? Thanks! By admin on Thursday, March 12, 2009 - 10:04 am: Edit Post Not really, especially for northern MN. It is pretty common to have early morning lows dip below zero in March with a clear and calm night.
