It seemed that once or twice when I was driving I saw a lightning flash. I had never heard of this, and was just wondering if it lightnings during snow storms sometimes? Thanks, Scott. By yamapaul on Monday, January 21, 2008 - 05:33 pm: Edit Post I don't mean to answer for John, but I have seen this happen as well. I believe it is referred to as thunder snow, which typically results in a heavy snowfall rate. Please correct me if I'm wrong John. By admin on Monday, January 21, 2008 - 07:28 pm: Edit Post yamapaul is right. It is called thunder snow. Just as it typically rains very heavily when there is a thunderstorm going on, it also snows very heavily. By snowlover_77 on Monday, January 21, 2008 - 07:47 pm: Edit Post Interesting. Thanks John and Yamapaul. |
