I seen in your journal one of your ride buddies has a Yamaha Phazer Mtn. What is your opinion on how it performs compared to the other sleds in your group. I have a modified older Yamaha Phazer Mtn. (1st version) and only back country ride, it only weighs 413 lbs so I love the light weight but lost a bearing on the crank and it is time to retire it. Thinking about a new Phazer.

Actually Ed, it was the mountain version of the Nitro. He only has about 150 miles on it, so really cannot give it a fair assessment just yet (he came from a Rev chassis).

I can say that it did not have the power to do big hill climbs, but seemed to perform pretty well in most other cases.

My opinion of the Phaser in general is there is just not enough power. It is light, but that does not make up for the low HP it has.
