John, I know you are a busy man. I remember a thread about some changes/updates to the website in the future. I was wondering if any of these would make it more Blackberry accessible. It would be awesome to be able to get your reports while we were out on trips or even post pics. I understand if you don't get back right away.

I cannot believe this came up. I just accessed the site on my BB about 2 hours ago. I even got the ALCam to come up. I do not know what it takes to make it BB friendly but I do know you can get on and access some areas. If there is a particular area you want me to try, let me know.

Unless it may be some setting on my phone I'm missing, but I'm trying it right now, I can get the main page up but can't select anything from the list that is on the left like the Journal, forecasts, etc.

Perhaps BB's cannot handle frames.

On the main page towards the bottom, there are links to the different sections of the site. Try that and see if it works.

Actually I was playing with that right after the last post and I couldn't select any of those either even though they looked like links that I could select. Not that big of an issue, just an idea. I know you have other pressing stuff to handle. I'll check and see if there may be something on my end. Thanks

Scroll all the way to the bottom and choose there.

All links work fine on mine.

go into your browser and press the menu key then select options then browser config then check all the boxes and change the emulation mode to ms explorer. This may help.

Let everyone know if this takes care of it. John may then add it to special instructions sometime.

I'll try a few things and get back to you all.

John, if you want I can move/start this thread in the misc. catagory so you don't keep getting dinged and get back to you when I figure it out.

Make sure you have all the Java settings enabled on your BB. I have used the site on my BB for a few years now and don't have any issues at all.

I'm gonna work on this on my end. Not sure if it has to do with my service provider (Verizon), but I've tried every different setting that you guys recommended including turning every browser option on and still doesn't work. I can bring up the main page, see all the links, just can't select anything, kinda like the main page is view only......weird. I'll let you know what I find when I get it working.......and I WILL!!!! Can't go without my J.D. fix!!!!

Get an Iphone like I did. Problem solved!!!

Download and install the web browser called Opera Mini from your Blackberry's proprietary browser. I use Opera for my browser and it rocks. I visit John's site often!

I GOT IT!! Of course it was a stupid setting, still a little difficult getting around, but probably on my end. Still need to tweak a few things. The big hold up.....in the browser settings, under general properties, there is an option to "enable cursor in column view". I had to turn that off. Normally there was a pointer that I used to navigate pages using the scroll ball and then click on an item or link just like a desktop using a mouse. Unchecking this option (above), now I can navigate the page using the scroll ball on the BB kinda like using the page up and down arrows on a regular keyboard and links will automatically highlight and can be selected. Not as easy as using the pointer, but still works, it's a start. Haven't figured out yet though, how to add a message like I am here from my desktop. Can anyone else out there do this? Is it possible? Thanks for everyone's help. I'm finally getting somewhere. If I figure out anything else I'll post here. I guess that's why they call these things "Crack Berrys"!
