I'll answer for him, yes. Not that I have seen his sled but it certainly looks like a MI trail sticker to me and that is also the location I see more often than not that people (myself included) put them. Plus it is the right color and everything.

There is both on the sled.
The trail permit is on the windshield and the registration sticker is on the lower part of the belly pan.

Yes, the two are seperate. The registration is just that and is good for 3 years. The trail permit is only good for one year.

MI laws must be different than WI laws. As of now, to the best of my knowledge, if a sled is registered in WI, a trail permit is not needed.
