Was closed for about 18 months, but reopened about a year or so ago and is now managed by the same person that runs the Upper Deck in the Ramada in Hancock.

So great food, HUGE portions and very inexpensive.

I'm sort of breaking my own rules by giving a plug to a business that does not advertise, but John helps us out with the Ride-In, so that counts in my book.

Click → The Hut Inn, Calumet (Kearsarge) MI — home of Pasty Cam! and Pasty Central Pasties!
(The Hut Inn™ is a trademark of Pasty Central LLC.)
Can't seem to find a link to their menu on their web site, but here 'tis: The Hut Inn Menu (in PDF format)

Wi-fi? Oh yes! Quoting from the menu (in part):

quote:

"The Hut is back with many of the same menu items enjoyed over the years, plus delicious Pasty Central Pasties have been added.

Given its relationship to Pasty Central and Pasty.NET, there was no question that The Hut Inn would also become a wireless hot spot, with blazing fast wireless broadband service provided by Pasty.NET. In addition, Pasty.NET's network operations have moved to the Kearsarge campus of buildings. The Hut seems destined to become the most wired restaurant in the state.

A new pasty kitchen, Pasty Central Express, has grown up behind The Hut. The kitchen serves as headquarters for Pasty Central's Internet business, capable of shipping 50,000 of the UP-style meat pies in a year.

Next time you visit the Calumet area, make sure to include The Hut Inn on your schedule — and be sure to find the time to grab a delicious Pasty Central pasty while you're at it."
