2004 GSX 500SS. I know I could look at Kelly Blue Book, but I want opinions from real riders. I usually am not looking at this model type, so am not up on pricing. I'm looking at this for a friend.
I do know it does NOT have the upgraded rings, but it is in good shape. 3800 miles.

I sold my 2004 GSX 500ss with electrcic start and reverse at the end of last season on e-bay for $3,800 It was mint and had 3,200 miles on it.

yeah, but I bought it for $4,000 with 700 miles and rode it for 2 years,problem free then sold it for $200 less than I bought it for. So I did alright!

If you are wondering what you should pay for a sled always try to consider what you would be looking to get out of your used one if you had the same thing! Everyone wants to buy low and sell there's for top dollar! Fair is fair and the machine is worth to you what you are willing to pay!

4 Years old and its worth 1/2 of a new one, 6 years old and its worth about 40%. This is a $7000-7500 Sled new. So that means 2800-3000 with 6000 miles,(1000 per year), so add a little and I would say 3000-3200 and not a Dollar more.
If its a Dealer add on his markup, they have to make a living.
Muss you did very good and Jeff see me if you need a used Sled.
Snowbuff, I don't think Rings were a issue with the 500ss, but I'm not sure.
