By meats75 on Tuesday, November 03, 2009 - 09:49 pm: Edit Post Hey Guys, My 07' IQ 600 cfi gauge shows empty and has an "F" on the screen. Tank is almost full. The last few rides of the year it would go back and forth, now its still shows empty. ? Any ideas smarties ! thanks By harvest1121 on Tuesday, November 03, 2009 - 11:57 pm: Edit Post Well if its anything like a skidoo there might be a fuse that has blown. By dave_b on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 - 01:12 pm: Edit Post I don't have one but one of the guys has an 07 600 CFI Switchback and he was having the same problem. He took it to the dealer and it was an issue inside the tank with either the float and/or sensor that was causing the problem. By swampcat on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 - 08:59 pm: Edit Post Look in the filler hole , if the float is on the bottom of the tank, its gas logged(full of gas)seen a couple like this. Good luck. By meats75 on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 10:09 pm: Edit Post Thanks for the ideas guys. give it a try By meats75 on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 - 01:35 pm: Edit Post I have figured out the problem, thanks to swampcat the float was full of gas. I pulled the tank off to access the sending unit, pulled out the unit with float and found pin hole in corner of float. Took it to work and filled hole with 3M 2-part epoxy and going to give it a whirl. sweet By swampcat on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 - 11:01 pm: Edit Post Now imagine trying to do that through the filler hole. Being a old tennacious shade tree mechanic, getting the float off the arm, sealed up,tested & reinstalled, NOW THAT WAS A HOOT. Glad you found it. By snake on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 - 09:26 pm: Edit Post thought there was some sort of bulletin on the floats on some 06 or 07 sleds! ? By meats75 on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 - 09:52 pm: Edit Post I called the dealer 2 days ago and he ran my vin # and said there was only a hose routing check to be made for my sled. So far anyway, now that I have it fixed, it works. |
