I have been up there the last two years in October and didn't find much was closed. I hit Lake in the Clouds, various waterfalls, Gay, Copper Harbor and the old military base, the Monk Monastery along the drive from Copper Harbor to Eagle Harbor (beautiful drive) and just did some exploring. Good times! By xcr440 on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 - 09:45 am: Edit Post Spring is usually the up north shut down time. Lots of colors for people to go see normally in the fall. By krupps_resort on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 - 10:50 am: Edit Post bobsledder--a must see for your wife is Bond Falls which is south of Bruce Crossing off hwy 45. The Bond Fall flowage is an absolutely beautiful waterfalls (in all seasons). Hwy 45 brings you from WI into MI. There is so much to see you'll have a very busy 4 days. By maddog24 on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 - 01:29 pm: Edit Post I will second the Bond Falls comment! You can climb all over and along the falls up or down. Very cool!
