By doospunk on Monday, November 23, 2009 - 10:15 pm: Edit Post What are you seeing or hearing on conditions at Tog in the back country over there? Things look a bit thin on the cam. I've got plenty of faith, but the 16th is fast approaching. By doospunk on Sunday, November 29, 2009 - 11:05 am: Edit Post Look forward to hearing Carter. Thanks for the input! By carter on Sunday, November 29, 2009 - 12:04 pm: Edit Post Went riding yesterday. I understand how the web cams can't show the real stuff. From Tog. lodge out the CD trail I expected trouble. i went out a mile to flagstaff road and cut up into game creek. The trail was thin but no rocks. Game was good at the lower levels and great riding up high. With the current forcast and people getting anxious I don't know how long it will hold. In years past it held just fine till it starts snowing big. This condition tells me its good up high. BUT, getting to areas south to ride up high is going to be a trick as the trails farther out are not covered well and there are lots of rocks on them. So going slow is the game. I have people riding with me starting Thursday so I will have more for you then. Its worth coming out now. The conditions are really ok for this time of year. I've been out 2 times now with 12 people in all and no damage. What is that saying.... More later...oh, I was in 3-4 feet of it and sometimes 2-3 feet of it. And I wouldn't say that if it weren't true.... By polarisrider1 on Sunday, November 29, 2009 - 06:43 pm: Edit Post Please keep us informed Carter, 12 days and I will be at Tog. By cheetah on Monday, November 30, 2009 - 01:59 pm: Edit Post Carter - Are you still working at the Lodge - guiding. Grant and Dean mentioned you dont work there anymore. Grant is going out to Tog Lodge, I believe the first week of Dec. By rusty1577 on Monday, November 30, 2009 - 04:34 pm: Edit Post cheetah, By carter on Monday, November 30, 2009 - 07:16 pm: Edit Post Rusty made a correct statement...And Grant and Dean know I'm back full time this year. And I'm on a POLARIS 800 dragon 155 so watch out all you flatlanders...LOL By skylar on Monday, November 30, 2009 - 07:29 pm: Edit Post Would that be a new 800 Dragon Carter? Or a left over with the updated pistons, head, rings, cylinders? By cheetah on Monday, November 30, 2009 - 09:42 pm: Edit Post Cater after you get seat time on your Guide sled 2010 Cat 800 153, you will switch back to cat. By techsledder on Tuesday, December 01, 2009 - 08:57 am: Edit Post Skylar, Could there be any room in your trailer for a 1200 Summit? I’d think BRP would be running one of those stock by then (2011-2012) and it will be real good too at our elevation with some boost! By carter on Tuesday, December 01, 2009 - 10:59 am: Edit Post Skylar, yes thats a new 2010 800 dragon. I will be on a Cat for 9 days while they are there. Cheetah, Dean is coming out when Cat is there. As for switching to Cat, well lets just say a polaris fits me better than a cat. Looks like we are getting snow this weekend. its grey and cloudy now and trying. Boy am I getting tired of saying trying. We all know that when it gets here its the best place to ride. riding anywhere on snow is the best. I'm not ready or anything...... |
