As mentioned, it's no secret Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula is home to the deepest snow in the Midwest. However, unless you happen to be brave enough to venture off into the woods by yourself and try and navigate the maze of clearings, chances are all you do is see the deep, untracked powder and never get to feel what it is like to "fly your sled".
With KSE as your guide, you will get to experience what it is like to take your sled floating through bottomless powder. Forget using your handlebars to steer. It's all about weight transfer, and don't forget about the throttle...too much and you spin your track into a 4 foot hole, too little and you slowly settle into a temporary resting place.
There is no need to have a mountain sled or modified sled to go on these rides. Most of the guides use machines that are stock or close to stock. After a few minutes riding in one of the powder caches with your guide, you will quickly learn it is not the machine, but the rider.
