It's no secret Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula is home to the deepest snow in the Midwest. What is a secret is the places to find some of the deepest and freshest powder. For years, the locals have ridden their own trail system across the Keweenaw, avoiding the bumps, traffic and hazards that exist on the groomed trails.
Keweenaw Snow Expeditions was formed in 2000 by a group of locals from Lake Linden Michigan.
Since then we have expanded to include guides from other areas in
the Keweenaw. We have over 100 years combined riding experience in the backwoods or "bush" of the Keweenaw.
Our tours are "Off Piste", or off trail. This is not a guide service to take you through the trail system up here. If that is what you are looking for, we cannot help you here. If you are looking to see sights seldom seen by visitors or ride bottomless powder or take you and your sled to the edge of your limits and beyond, then you have struck gold! All of our tours will take you deep in the bush, allowing you to feel the exhilarating rush of breaking your own trail.
All of the tours will include powder, extreme and scenic riding. However, we like to tailor each ride to provide just what you want, so when making a reservation please indicate the type of riding you would like to encounter the most.
