Best ski for what?
Trail riding... Boondocking... Sidehilling... Asphalt racing... Deep powder...
You'll get a dozen different answers but for an all-around ski, I like the USI X2 skis.

Best ski I found was the SLP Powder Pros- Hands down, best all around ski and it cures the hard turning issues too!

I have simmons flexi-skis on my 900 and they are great for aggressive trail riding.

I have the same sled...my problem is that it takes too much steering effort. Everyone recommended slydog skis. However, Scott Bergstrom said his shims will fix the problem for a lot less money:

I'm going to try these this year and see how it goes before I spend the money on skis(last season was my first season with the sled).

I rode with powder pros for a year- I rode one trip with stock skis, then got the HRP spindles and rode 2 more years with the spindles and Powder Pro's. The Powder Pro's made more of difference than the Spindles. I know a couple people who switched to Slydogs and they reduced the ski pressure too. The biggest trick I found was to set the center shock spring tension to as loose as it will go without loosing the spring cup on top. This alone will reduce turning effort and make the Fusion handle really good. I put 6100 miles on mine and the only time I was unhappy with it is when it had the stock ski's on it!

So the powder pros seem the way to go for agressive trail riding. We generaly do about 250 - 300 miles a day and dont want my arms to be tired after the first 50 miles.

Changing the skis will correct a lot of the hard steering problems this sled has. I also recommend changing the spindles. You will see a significant difference.
You can change them with the '07 polaris spindle or get a little spendy and get some Holtz.

Its the 08 spindles that were changed, the 07 were the same. The ski's made it handle and turn when you wanted it and I could go 300+ per day in the UP. Best upgrade other than putting Walker Shocks in the front and back.
