you will pay, but I love my edge juice. I have '06 duramax, there are 5 power levels, I only run mine on #1,for mileage, you should get 2 to 3 m.p.g. better. the higher levels of perf. are awesome perf. gains, but hard on motor! curious if anyone is running the egr block off plate? I heard it's a good idea cause your not dumping all the soot back in your intake!

i would buy one that can be used on multiple trucks (brands) so you can easily sell it if you dont like it. think the bullydog does that. you beat on the truck with settings on high you will do damage. i kow guys taking out allisons, warping heads, just have to use common sense.

Watch your boost pressure close! Also keep an eye on the exit gas temp.Warped heads and meltdowns are the down side.

I have a bully dog triple dog on my dodge with the outlook monitor. I love having the ability to change power levels on the fly but am looking to upgrade to a box that will custome tune as I've added a few things to my cummins. If your interested in a used triple dog w/outlook monitor let me know.

I have an Edge EZ on my 01 Cummins. I choose this one as is was more of an "entry level" type of power adder and pretty "safe" especially for the crappy dodge tranny. I wasn't interested at upgrading the tranny at that time but still may in the future. The EZ has 3 levels which I always run #3 since even then is still plenty of hp for my needs. As mentioned watch your EGTs and boost levels either by seperate gauges or the monitors that come with some of the higher end boxes.

Be careful with the Bully Dog. They work awesome but the way they tune is different than other models. The bull doge writes over the stock program instead of removing and storing the stock program like other programmers do. This causes issues with the computer. It will put out codes even though there are no issues. If you are ok with the check engine light being on all the time Bully Dog Triple Dog is the way to go. I had it on my 04 and that thing was fast. I now have an 08 duramax and put a superchip in it. Definatly not as much power as the bully dog but not as many hassles. I sell all of these brands programers. Shoot me an email for more specific details. I can send you some other information. rcskidoo@yahoo.com

I have an 04 duramax with the edge power chip. I put it in new and got 136,000 miles then the motor blew!! A piece of one the glow plugs broke off and went through two cylinders but fortunately stopped before the turbo! $11k later, I have a brand new factory motor in it with another 100,000 mile warranty. There went my brand new XTX... Nite and day difference with the chip.

The only time my engine light ever came on w/my triple dog in my 2003 Cummins is last week after I installed a bigger turbo. I had to order a new hi pressure injector pump to utilize the extra volume of air. I cleared the codes with the bully dog and the engine lihgt has yet to come back on.
That must have been a 6 banger Camaro because although these trucks are fast with some mods it takes alot to make them as fast as any V8 Camaro...I know as I have a small fortune into my Dodge!

I got an 03 Cummins Turbo Diesel and I have the Edge Juice with Attitude. I can change by a push of the button to different power levels, and it also monitors engine load, EGT's, Boost, and Water Temp. Its really cool and nice to switch power levels at a stoplight when that old chevy gasser is next to me reving up his straight pipes. Eat my smoke Gasser!

dab you may be right about the "small" fortune but I'm trying to forget how much I've spent on it just this summer alone! Had the new Wicked Diesel CP3 installed last night so I'm starting to use that new turbo a little more, sounds like a small jet engine under the hood! It's starting to really come alive now but I need the new Smarty programmer before it's gonna really scream! I'd imagine a studded and oringed head is next so I can get stupid with my boost! When and where will it end!?! After I do that the Camaro's will look silly!!!

Chad,
I thought you said sales where down, you've got way to much money...lol, I run a 01’ F350 7.3 crew cab, dually, long bed, stock other than a chip upgrade, 248,000 and counting.

Marty,
Trust me those upgrades aren't coming out my paycheck from M&M! it's coming from that money I planted. took a while but it's finally starting to sprout! And the only reason your still running that old Ford is because the 7.3 is the last diesel Ford used worth owning!!! And my 2003 Cummins is on 238,000 miles and counting!

Chad are you on DTR or CF? If so whats your user name?

..or how about the TDR. The TDR has taught me a lot and I escpecially like the quarterly mag altho I would hesitate to call it a mag as it is loaded with articles. I don't get over to the DTR much as even the TDR is hard to keep with (and all the other forums I hit)

Yea I'm on CumminsForum now and then. I bought my tires/wheels, turbo and lift off of there. Should have bought my pump but for whatever reason I didn't even think to look. There's alot of stuff on there and some great deals along with alot of helpful info.

If it was a V8 Camaro then the Duramax had alot more than a tuner on it. Got to test my truck this weekend for the first time after installing the new turbo and CP3 and man does it tow! Truck is becoming an animal. Had 2 sleds on the sled deck and 8 sleds and a bike on the trailer and it rarely downshifted out of overdrive pulling up the hills on I-75. However at 75mph and roughly a 8-9000# load I was only getting 10mpg. I guess it wasn't all that bad since the truck is also on 35" tires but I was still hoping for a little better.

it was a 426hp v-8 camaro and a duramnax with a tuner...both ran 13 seconds. the duramax was a 4 door and had a better 0 to 60 time. if the truck wasnt a 4 dooor it would have spanked it. i have run cummins and one powerstroke so im not a duramax freak. im sure 4wd helps it launch.
