View Full Version : XP Switch/Button Covers?

Last year I hit my RER button on my XP Summit way too much (positioned low on the handle/wierd placement) and it pops into reverse while in slower speeds when I bump into it while standing. Has anyone seen a kill switch and RER button cover like this (http://www.johndee.com/discuss/messages/6/115301.jpg) (see Rusty’s post on Sunday, September 27, 2009 - 12:27 pm (http://www.johndee.com/discuss/messages/6/114501.html?1255019728)) for the XP Summits? I was going to design one on my own, but if someone out there has it for the Doo summits, that would be sweet. This one is only for AC's.

That does look like a good fix. I end up hitting my reverse more than I would like to myself. A lot of guys move that whole console to the riser... I think I will be doing this change this year...

Yea I know what you are saying for sure. With bought a rev chassis last year, been ridin zx's for a long time. Seems like everytime I go to hit the dimmer I end up hitting the reverse. Believe me at speed it puts a damper on things real fast, gave a backfire one time that scared the crap out of me. Haven't seen anything but like the idea of relocation.

I already had some ideas rolling around in my head similar to the boondocker fix for the M's, so I'll share them with you two when I draft them up. I can't remember how may times I hit that #$&% button and had the engine backfire and pop into reverse. In the hills where we were playing, it was getting really old.
