View Full Version : Question about front motor mounts on a polaris sled
ihave a 03 pro x 600 and the front motor mounts are bad how hard is it to replace them

You might be able to remove the front mounts with out taking the motor out.The carbs will need to be removed and the motor completely unbolted.When I replaced my motor mounts I took the motor out and then made a socket to fit over the mount so it can be unscrewed from the bulk head.You might be able to use channel lock pliers.

look into using the hi-perf ones from slp. I got a bud that keeps ripping the stock ones, but he also has a tweaked 800 triple.
i like to hit a few jumps now and then so the stronger the better

The slp motor mounts are a higher durometer rubber and made my sled vibirate to much so I went back to the oem mounts(I was running a 660).They worked ok on the 800s but over kill on the 600s.My buddy with the 800 had more problems with the slp mounts breaking then with the oem mounts.If you put a torque arm on the front of the motor that helps alot.
