Go a little further north to mass city or rockland. Bluff Bunkhouse. Matt is a supporter here. There are also a few other options in those two places.

Why BC? Can be in snow hole too.

Any places to eat around BC?

try Peppermill lodging in Rockland. Your rental gets you access to a heated and tooled shop at no extra cost.

The bowling alley across from the BP station has food. It's o.k. But you'll find that the bar tenders won't take any crap there.... I think there is a resturant on the other corner across from the BP too, but never been in there, and don't know for sure.

BC is a ghost town. Drive another 15 minutes and stay somewhere like the above mentioned places....

Restaurant at Tulpo's Motel across from gas station. They have a bar there also.

BC is somewhat limited. Go west 20 miles you have Lake Gogebic area. North Mass City /Rockland, South Watersmeet- Land o Lake's. More places to eat etc.

Now i'm thinking Watersmeet.
I want to tour the west end(already done kewenaw)
baiscly from drumond island to copper harbor but never south of baraga.so watersmeet sounds like a good place to base from.
or mabee crystal falls as i will be coming from the lower. watcha think?

Tulppos is the only place in Bruce Crossing to stay. The railgrade (east-west) is sometimes bare but the no.-so. trail is usally ecellant. So. to Watersmeet, no. to Mass City etc. west to Lake Gogebic. Hotel Tulppo on one corner, gas across the street, 3 bars on the other side.and Tulppos has a bar. Kind of a dump and don't advertize here but cheap place to lay your head. Call 906/827-3555 or 3971 (not sure why I have two #s) OK so now try Iron River MI. area and ride to B.C. or Watersmeet.

dopp:Coming from lower you would come to Iron River First & everything you need there except dealers. Trail 2 runs right thru Iron River BUT sometimes snow a little thin in that area. Mostly system snow a little LES but not a lot. Trails North very nice but little gas food opps. Trail 2 west & in Watersmeet in 30 minutes by sled. Watersmeet has everything you need but less than Iron River but more snow. If you can stay in Iron River probably better off as all riding north or west snow will increase quickly. BC is good place to gas up & hub for sleds passing thru but soft on motels & grub.

cheep sounds good
hows the snow before christmas?

11-13-2009, 07:26 PM
There is usually decent snow. Some years the snow is better than other years but we always are able to ride. If you go further north snow will be better. We normally stay at a buddies cabin about 20 minutes west of Watersmeet off of US2 if snow isn't that good we ride up to Lake Gogebic and then head up toward Bergland but normally there is good rideable snow around Christmas

Sorry for the double post

the peppermill in rockland for only $20.00
per person per night sounds good
a little extra driving but should be in the good snow eh?

11-15-2009, 11:44 AM
dopp depends on the dates you want to come up. The $20.00 per night/per person is for Dec 1 - Dec 20. After Dec. 20 it is $30.00 per night/per person. Still a good rate for a fully furnished house, heated tooled shop whenever you need to make adjustments or repairs. If you are a trail rider we will also take you out and show you some neat places. I just didn't want you to be surprised about the rate if you want your reservations after Dec. 20. Would like to accomodate you if possible. www.peppermillrentals.com (http://www.peppermillrentals.com)
