Snowing

It is snowing to beat the band right now in Ontonagon. The cam in Mass looks pretty calm, must just be a local squal. So far this storm hasnt been much of anything but maybe...?

flurries all day in greenland and at 8pm tonight it started letting loose, seems about like a 1/2" per hr snow fall rate, not super hard but very steady and dense

must have tapered off shortly after I went to bed. looks like 6-7 on the ground, plow truck came by for the first time this winter, snowing lightly as I type

looks like a lot here in Ontonagon. havent ventured out yet but will take some measurements in Onto, Mass and Rockland on my way in.

Only 4-6 in White Pine.

I measured in Ontonagon, got 4" but there are some big drifts from the wind. Rockland had 5 1/2" and Mass City also had 5 1/2". All measurements were taken in town with a tape measure. Flat, open, untouched areas are what I chose.

Y101 radio reported 10" along the lakeshore in Ontonagon and varying reports of 8-10" in the surrounding area to Mass City. No idea if this is what fell or if it is what is on the ground. All is white. Funny to see how it is stuck to one side (nw-ish)of the trees leaving the other side bare. Must have been wind driven snow.

Matt, we are coming up to stay at your place on Dec 17 but if there is enough snow for us to get a quick ride in on Dec. 12 let me know. 3 of us would make a day trip out of it.
