Need some ideas

A small group of guys are coming out and staying south of the bridge in Houghton the weekend of Dec 17th-20th... we are from MN and have never been to MI. That being said, we are looking to ride some great trails, eat along the trail etc. What do you suggest we must do/see/ride/eat and what stuff should we stay away from? Hopefully there will be enough snow for some great riding.

where are you staying?

Lori, rom the Wildlife refuge cabins, updated a post yesterday saying they have snow on SouthRange, but there are a few trails that are swampy and what to stay away from. That could all change byt then, but it's a good update.

By next week you may not have to trailer that far North. Mass City is usually a pretty good landing spot. Affordable lodging and good break feast. Consider packing clothes and just staying along the trail as you go. A day trip to Copper Harbor is nice when you can stay up there for a night and drink!!! Good mexican food at Carmelita's in Calumet. I asked this question in another thread, but did they open the gates at the bridge?
