How much snow did the Hayward area get? Anybody know how thick the ice is?

Thanks for the link. I think they're a little liberal on their snow totals. I just got a call this afternoon from a guy in Birchwood who said they got less than 6 inches, plus the wind has been blowing hard so the trails are pretty thin. The ice fisherman are out but no stakes yet. Lake Chetac has about 5". Single digits yesterday and today, no warming spells in the forecast so it'll continue to thicken up.
John says the next storm hits Monday or Tuesday!

Spoke with my mechanic about 18 miles northeast of Hayward and said about 10 inches on the ground and still coming down at a good clip as of Wednesday at 10:30am.

Take a look at the NWS info attached below. Looks like the decent snow starts east of the Chippewa Flowage. Even better NE of Moose Lake.

just talked to a friend in stone lake,lake in front of cabin still had no ice in middle yet as of yesterday but had been frozen across today.i would say it would be the first of the year before all lakes are good.
