I am looking an underwater camera for my teenage son. Does anyone have experience with the inexpensive ($125.00) models? If the low end models don't work well I will save that idea for another day and go with something else for Christmas.

check out the Sanyo Xacti. It is a digital camera/camcorder that can go under water (5'??). I think they sell for around $160, but they are really nice. A buddy has one that he uses kiteboarding in salt water and it works great

when you say underwater, how deep does he want to go with it, that will decide type of camera you need to go with. the two mentioned above will probaly go 10 feet at best before flooding. what will he be using it for?

I would look into a underwater camera housing that will fit a cheapie digi camera.

I was just looking at a couple of these. BB has a couple models for around $300 and $400. Ones good for 5' the other for 33' I think.

I didn't properly describe what I am looking to purchase. I should have said an underwater viewer with a 7" monitor to use when fishing etc.

Menards has fish cameras on sale this week $75 bucks with a $25 rebate extra year warranty is $8 limit is 2 for the rebate. I bought one yesterday. It seems to be ok you can hook it to a camcorder it. It comes with everything except the tripod to hang the cable on.

x2 what tom said just bought one to replace my aqua-vue that broke, for the price you can't go wrong, only has a 5in monitor but that is plenty big enough to fish with. the bigger the monitor the more juice it takes to run.

My BIL and I were using his Fist TV this AM. Works pretty good, we were able to watch a few perch shoot in and hit our lures. I think he only paid $150 or so for it last year.
