Private message pop up window

Why does this pop up window show up 3-4 times? Even after I read the PM, the pop up continues to show up a couple of times. I know I can block the pop up but I like the reminder, just not over and over even after I have read the PM.

Not sure why, but after I read mine, I hit refresh, and it goes away.
