Southeastern WI. is in a WInter Storm warning from 6 a.m. to midnight on thursday(1/7) Washington county is expected to get 8-10 inches of fresh snow! Winds will be gusting from 20 to 30 mph, looks like I will be able to get a ride in at home before heading up for some real snow at the end of the month.

The snow thats coming will have a very low moisture content, and will blow around alot but something is better than nothing

yep, whenever they issue a winter storm warning, it fizzles out to about 2-3" worth, and then all the weathermen scramble to make excuses as to why they suck at their job!

I will keep my hopes up but we sure do get a lot of let downs in the southern area's, trails are open where I live(1/2 hour north of MIlwaukee), maybe 6-7 inches on the ground and about an inch or so on the trails so ridable, but icey and hard on the sleds.

I should just start packing now so I can beat all the snow coming , get on the road and head up to where they got snow. No seriously if it blows me over , IM GOING!!!!!! I hate even thinking of getting my hopes up. Years back I would sit at a buddys house poppin back a couple,2, 3, 4,,,,, waiting........................................... ............................. Now I just drive to it 7hrs to 18hrs. I think I need to go to therapy.

it was supposed to be light and fluffy but everything so far(about 3 "'s) is on the wet heavy side. national weather service still has S>E> wi. in a storm warning with 6'-10' totals so hopefully it keeps coming down, if anyone is from washinton, ozaukee, fondulac county area and you know of somewhere to get a good breakfast lunch off the trail please let me know

About 4 inches so far in Roscoe,IL. Snowing lightly right now but suppose to pick up heavier later. Local weather is calling for 7-13 total!! On top of the 6-8 hard pack we have on the ground before the storm. Its sure nice to ride out the back door!!
