Snowing hard for the last hour 1+ inch still snowing 6 to 12 inches by Thursday night.
I live between Galesburg and Peoria Il.
I left my sled in North Wisconsin to get the 800 Dragon motor redone, this is about right 6 inches on the ground here from last week 6 to 12 more, Thursday lots of snow to ride no sled until January 16th. we will have 12 to 18 inches on the ground by tomorrow night, and 6+ foot drifts!
We have not had good snow for 8 years, and it will not be melting off anytime soon.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is getting the snowblower out again.
Hope the maroons aren't driving slow tomorrow morning on my way to Bloomington.

North of Galesburg we have 9 inches of new fluffy snow! The wind hasent started blowing yet so it looks like the UP. The snow is sitting so beautifully on everything, what a winter wonderland. 30 mph wind by tonight and the roads will be blocked and the fields will be bare. Thats ditch banging in IL.

About 5-6" of Yooper like fluff here in Morton this morning.
My flight to Vegas for a business trip got cancelled; looks like I'm stuck at home blowing snow after all!
No ditchbanging for me - No base.

Killer riding 9 inches in Elmwood were I live we had 5 inches on the ground before this snow cover, 14 inches on the ground this is the best snow in 8 years. Only 7 in Peoria, IL West towards Galesburg lot more we are getting wind only 10 to 20 but not the 30+ like they were saying, 4 to 6 foot drifts but the best thing is the corn fields were picked late all the corn stocks are still up deep snow riding any way you want to go, also they are saying Sunday afternoon 2 to 3 more inches of snow we have not had snow even stay on the ground in the last 10 years more than week without melting off, until this year!

My daughter and I went rideing with 2 other club members this afternoon and was it sweet. We rode about 40 miles and we had a blast. The rural roads are impassable in some areas and the wind is realy blowing. I hope we don't have any fire calls tonight!
