Anyone been to the friday night races at the Eagle River Derby track? I was thinking of going but have not seen many posts or heard of people going. Wondering if it is worth it?

Great show! Great racing, fireworks over ice and snow, and they move the show along really well. Well worth the time and money in my opinion.

As others have said
Fast sleds, snow cross, ice ovals, a couple cold ones if you want, fire works and usally some good scenery!
Worth going absolutely........but I have to disagree with flatlandracer, the last time we where there was 3 maybe 4 years ago and that particular year they dragged things out real bad. Hopefully that was just a bad year as that was my only negative comment for the weekend!

X2!! The only better time other than Friday night to go is Sunday afternoon for the final World Championship race. It used to be better (IMHO) when they raced the twin trackers for that race, but the nice thing about Friday night is I think they have a few heats with the TT's. + the fireworks usually rival the July 4 ones and who does'nt love that?

The only day we go to as well, it's a great show! This year maybe a treat as most years we've gone it's been below zero! Usually have a few good deals at the vendors booths as well, go, have fun!

So the website lists fireworks at 7pm. Is that the start of the racing after the fireworks or are the fireworks the end of the show at 7.
Reason asking is we would not be there until say 5 or 6 and if it ends at 7, obviously we are not going.
Thanks for the info.
Fireworks kicks off the main races. They will have some 120's and maybe a few classes before hand. But, the real racing starts afterward. Expect to be there to at least 10 p.m-11p.m. Usually a pretty good show although some of the drag/track groom sessions get a lil old. Like mentioned earlier there are some good deals to be hand in the vendor section from time to time. Was there tonight. Heard they will be some real "pros" there for snocross. In ovals, Schultz was REAL fast tonight, checked out on everyone. I'll be there most the weekend, won an Amsoil prize pack last year, included is a Polaris RR and will be in the Amsoil hot seats!!! Can't wait...
