We are heading out to Tog in mid-Feb and plan to ride the trails south of the lodge. We have four Polaris machines; all 500/600's, two of which are carbureted and need to be rejetted. What altitude should we jet for?
Also, we are not real agressive riders, going out to see the sights, mainly. Strictly trail riding. Some say we should change weights in our clutches; is this necessary? If we don't, how badly will our sleds perform?
Thanks for any help!

The Lodge is at 8600' with most riding up from there.

No need to change clutch weights, especially for mostly trail riding; your engine will just run a little lower rpm at WOT.

So if we plan on 9000 feet, would that be a good approach? Thanks Stealthv!
It's our first trip out west, so we are really excited to make the trip.

Jet with 290 jets for a Pol 600 at 9000'. thats what I use in my switchback out there.
