We have a cabin in Republic and were up between Christmas and New Years. Got maybe 125miles in on the new sleds beg of the week before the rain and melt down. Been watching the weather since we got back. Any reports on the above areas? Cant wait to get back up there. Thanks.

I heard the Huron Mountains got hammered. 33 inches of snow from a report out of Alberta, MI between Lanse and Michigamme. Ishpeming area got a foot.

Harvey, Deerton, AuTrain, Chatham - Rideable, but not great. Some rocks on the grade coming through, basically started over from the rain. Still decent snow in the woods. Groomer is out every other day right now trying not to pull up more rocks and dirt. Trail is staying fairly smooth.

I rode from Gwinn last weekend sunday and the trails were all pretty good. Alot of loose stuff on top but I am sure they will be awsome this weekend after everything had a chance to harden up and the groomers were out.

I just rode north from Sundell past the falls up to the 417, then to the Brownstone for lunch. You are correct about some rocks popping thru on the grade but it sure was smooth. Woods and two tracks are great. Do you know if there is a way from North Rumely Rd. to the 417? Thanks, Bob. (thanks for your time spent grooming)

Rode MQT, Ishpeming, NEW TRAIL to Republic, Back to Clowry, to Ishpeming To Harvey To Scott Falls/Autrain, chatham to Sawyer today. 176 miles. Decent Trails. Thin in Republic. We decided not to go south of Republic due to lack of snow, so didn't check out snow conditions to the south. New trail from republic to Ishpeming was awesome, little rocky on south end, but very cool.

Thanks for the info GroomerDave! We can always count on you. Wife and I are leaving Thursday after work and can not wait to hit the trails.

BTW, I heard there is a Poker Run going on this weekend with Moose Country out of Republic. Has anyone heard about this?
