Around the northern half from Beaver Dam and north and west into Columbia county the trails are pretty decent. Rode from Beaver Dam last night to Cambria, and I couldn't complain. No one out, groomers out during the day, and half of the trail getting new snow drifted onto the trail. Of course there are a few rough spots with dirt showing through, but hey I wouldn't complain.

I rode all day Friday. I started from Mapleton in Waukesha County and almost turned around and went home. I gave it a chance and once into Dodge Cty, it was drastically better. I went west to Watertown (very nice), then north to Clyman and Lowell, then turned east/northeast to Theresa. This was all ver nice I thought. Sure there were samll sections (like 50 yards) of bad bumps in farm fields, but they were not many and everytime I thought "on man this is terrible" it smoothed out and I was back up to speed. I followed a route down Hwy P to Rubicon and it was still pretty decent. However, Neosho area left something to be desired. It is more than rideable, but it did not look like they groomed at all with the new snow. Once I was south of Hwy NN / P intersection, it was smooth again all the way back to Waukesha trails.

Once again, NOT disappointed by Dodge County.
