Stayed at a friends house in Durango. Had to trailer out every day due to low snow this year but found some good stuff.

First day on Molas pass. The riding here is very open with little tree cover and also very restrictive on where you can and can't go. But beautiful just the same.

Never seen this before. These guys would get pulled by the wind up to the top of a ridge then turn around and hang air back to the bottom.

We spent the rest of our trip up on Wolf Creek pass. The riding here is much more tree covered, which was good for hunting powder, compared to Molas. Also more terrain available to explore.

Where's Waldo?

I found him. He was squirrel chasing again. (close up of previous pic)

A little cornice jump. Camera timing was off but you get the idea.

Spotted a clearing through the trees and rode right up to the edge of this. Not exactly the powder filled meadow I thought it would be!

This hill gave us a run for our money for about an hour and a half. All sugar at the top and you just trench in right when you thought you had it.

Taking a break after having my butt handed to me by above mentioned hill.

Of course this was the day we had to leave. Work is highly over rated.

Rumor has it you had an extra spot on the trailer and I know I wasn't invited. You're in the dog house now. :p

Speak up or forever hold your peace. At 4 dollars a gallon we could have used an extra wallet!!;)

I can speak if spoken to. Awesome pics and looks like a good time. I'm surprised you didn't find a way to stay a few extra days with that pow the last day.
How long did it take you to get there?

Thought you said you heard a rumor? 23.5 hrs. Had to take I70 in to avoid weather on 80. Same thing on the way back. Can probably do it in 20 hrs if 80 is usable.

To bad its not down hill with a tail wind both directions. That 1ST tank out of durango at 16.5 MPG would have been nice. Oh yah im the guy chassing the squirrel one of these times il catch one

The last day was all my poor little trail sled would handle. I was getting stuck on flat ground! We thought awful hard about staying, but had to get back for that hole work thing and all.:(

Nice Pics! I rode out there a couple years ago in December, it was awesome. Just wish it wasn't a 24 hour drive. I think the two areas were Vicito and Beaver Meadows...

How did you like beaver meadows? That was 10 minutes down the road for us but not enough snow to ride there. Wondering how it is in a good year?

Beaver Meadows was nice, like the name implies, it was all meadows and tree riding. We were kinda lost at first, but tagged around with a couple locals who took us to the actual "meadows". I remember it being rather thin at the bottom, but once you got up a ways the snow really stacked up.
