polaris belt

is there a right or wrong direction to which way the belt goes on a polaris. the belt has no indication as to which way it is supposed to rotate. i had 6200 miles on my original belt when sled was brand new and now have 6800 miles on second belt and have never paid attention to which direction the belt goes. anyone know for sure?

Put it on so you can read the numbers the way they're supposed to be.

Concur.... general rule of thumb , install with name ( manu's ) reading right to left. Or numbers like Indy said,

so if you are standing on the left side(belt side) of snowmobile, you should be reading the polaris lettering right side up not upside down?? if it mattered why dont they put an arrow on the belt?? and dont you mean left to right??

Yes, left to right. It's only a rule of thumb on Poo's. If you take it off for any reason, you need to put it back on the same way. So, if you get in the habbit of always installing it this way, you will never have to think about it.
