Ya know, we just spent a nice, peaceful non snowmobiling time up in White Pine for our kids' spring break - got back 4/1. Visited Lake Superior, Bond Falls, some skiiing and snowboarding, bowling at the Konteka...all via car, of course.

Just looked at the camera from Porcupine Lodge not 2 blocks away from our WP house (WHY did I look!!) ... and WHAT? WHAT? REALLY? Why is mother nature so p'o'd at me?? Looks like 6 inches to me...which is all we were begging for. I said I'd just take even 4...OK, 3!! Just when I thought I was over it that our season was over...

Cindy, and I got full blown thunderstorms and hail going on right now. And you got like eleven sleds to ride and I have none. I think mother nature still likes you more. lol

We had thunder snow here in Houghton Lake today. Recieved 3" of heavy wet stuff in about and hour and a half. Crazy stuff!!

here in mill it hailed so hard for 20 min it looked like it snowwed 1in about 11 this morn stayed on ground all day too

PR1 - Our weather HERE is streaking lightening with severe thunderstorm watches and warnings and my scaredy dog hiding in the bathroom. Snow in the UP is NOT helping! And we just got HOME from being up there and mom nature couldn't give the dog a bone then?? We're gonna miss it by 3 days? Really? 3 days? Major misses for 3 MONTHS in Jan, Feb and March??

And stop with the 11 sleds!?! Three of 'em, the Storm at the top of the list, don't count! :) and 2 more are back up BACK up sleds that haven't been ridden since '06. (but it does make us sound like we have a STABLE of sleds when you say we have 11!! :eek:)(I might be able to convince myself that I'm cool er something...naw...don't wanna go THAT far!)

trailshredder - I'd never seen thundersnow until our groundhog day blizzard here...the kids were saying they were seeing lightening and I was saying no - that's just the snow blowing sideways off the street lights...I thought it was the coolest thing EVER!

attak - what size hail? cold enough to stick around all day? We were almost 70 today!

So jealous, Lenny. Three days we missed it by! That's more painful than anything else at this point! We kept hoping last week...but we made the best of it anyway and enjoyed some beautiful spring weather...but we still had hope for that one last ride...

Enjoy it for those of us who can't! :D

Crazy! Our winds were out of the SW today...why we got so warm. It's eerie warm out there now - 70 with no wind, feels real humid - and it's almost midnight!
