We are in the market for putting a deck on on the house and have been looking at some different products and wanted to know if anyone has any reviews? We are looking at Trex, Tamco, Evergrain, etc. Some are PVC, composite, etc. and am leaning toward one but want to throw it out see what others have had good luck and service with? Appreciate any input.

My friends cottage that we've been going to for about the last 10 years has a composite deck on it. Except for a little incident on one corner, they have basically done nothing to it for the whole time its been there with only an occasional washing. Held up really nice. Definitely something I would go with.

I have trex and am very happy with it.

Diddo on the trex. We have had it for about 5-6 years now and the only thing I do is wash it once a year.

Check out IPE hardwood. It's a beautiful wood and with a good sealer you won't have to touch it for 5+ years.

I've had a composite deck (ChoiceDek at Lowe's) for eight years and it hasn't needed anything except a power wash every few years or so. I've spilled grease from the grill on it and it cleans right up with any degreaser. Its more expensive than most wood products, but well worth it.

I love my Trex, however, I would choose a lighter color
the next time. It does fade and the rich brown is now
a little washed out.

I work construction and have used trex and evergrain. Both seem to be good never had any call backs on either.
