Heres a few summer/winter pics from the same locations on the rail/trails. What a difference in 6 months.

Ha! Apparently my bicycle motor is not as powerful as my snowmobile, because I can barely maintain the night time speed limit let alone the daytime limit.

My wife and I drove out to New Glarus with the bicycles and rode the rail/trails there. We love that area and hope to someday semi-retire out that way. That railroad tunnel is pretty neat. Its called the Stewart Tunnel. It was built in 1887. Its 1260 feet long and it curves underground so you cant see one end to the other.

More pics. Later this summer we hope to ride the Elroy-Sparta trail. In the fall we'll take the bikes to Land O Lakes Wi. again to see the fall colors.

I've been on the 400 trail in the winter and have visited some spots on that trail during the summer and it is always cool seeing the differences. I have yet to see the tunnels in the summer but during the winter only one is open (altho it may be different now as this was a few years ago)
As for Lando where you are headed, I have been on every section of those trails both during the winter and during the other seasons and it is always amazing to see the change. Altho I can say this with certainty, I usually cover all the trails a lot faster in the winter than the other season. BTW they are working multi-use trail loop around the Sylvania and get most of the riding off of county roads, the project currently wil run into 2013.
Thanx for posting the pics!!!

Thanks racerx for the heads up on the Sylvania Loop. That would be a perfect friday ride. We could stop for breakfast at Sunrise, mmm! Then take our time and try to time it for the fish fry at Bent's, mmm again! Thats the other thing thats cool is stopping at all our favorite stops in different seasons. Can you tell I plan my bicycle rides like I plan my snowmobile trips, through my stomach? Luckly the bike helps keep my weight down. Oh, and in case you didnt know, Im Dave, as in Dave and Tillie, former Riverbend, now Frosty members.
More pics from yesterday. That last pic is the N G brewery. If your ever in the area, you have to check it out. Mmm, Spotted Cow!

Hey I can say the same thing except for names and another club in between you two, Johnny & Kris here altho you may have already known that. Small world we keep on missing each other during the winter but I'm sure we will catch up some day. BTW, enjoy the bike ride!!!
