One more month and my summer home goes into storage. I found a storage unit that is heated, has a seperate bathroom and shower and I can live on the boat year round, but for $500 a month I could rent an entire house during off season in Grand Haven. So I went with the $250 a month heated storage that I can't live on the boat. Besides what do I do with my house 60 miles to the east and all my junk if I moved on the boat?
Anyways boats are being pulled out daily now at the marina and things are winding down. I am storing in Muskegon this year so I get one last boat ride in right at the end.

I suspect it will be a ghost town at the marina this weekend. I will officially become a "vice Commodore" on saturday. I suspect I got the votes because I hire the best bands for our boating parties, and created "trash can" parties in the marina. Sunday I will announce it as "Liver appreciation day" and admire my new burgee.

We went to the lake last Sunday, temps were in the 80's, light wind, nothing but sunshine. Took the pontoon out and I saw only one other boat on the lake, the leaves had lots of color but most had already fallen. I even went swimming and the water wasn't to bad. I think it is the first time swimming in October in NW MN for me. I will make it out 2 more times and then pull the boat out.
