Bayfield County fire roads I have ridden this morning are nice. I doubt the trails are too good. I might try a couple of the less traveled ones later......just tried to post pic from my phone but it doesn't work :(

How is the traffic? Are you able to make it to the Pub and Grub?

I am south of 2. I would have to scrape here and there for a few miles and could get in the vicinity of the pubngrub. The last couple miles to the pubnvrub would be trail...and i heard its fugly. Trails south of 2 are ok to good in sections but not worth riding in general.

Yep, fire road riding is good, just getting to them is the problem. Since the Town of Hughes has plowed our road down to nothing, I can't get to the trails or fire roads. THINK SNOW!!!

First hand trail info:
17 - end to end is good
18 - end to end is good
6 - end to end is good and groomed last night
31 - south of 18 and north of barnes fair to good, thin, won't last much longer
31 - north of 18 is poor
7 - thru barnes is fair to poor
Second hand info:
22 and 24 - fair to good
2 - between brule and iron river fair to good except for a four block section that is very poor due to gravel
4 - between iron river and delta is unrideable
Only those classified good probably have a chance too last til next weekend.

Thanks for the detailed update. It is much appreciated (even though it is bad news).
Have you rode any of the fire roads north of 2?

Have not been north of 2 this weekend. From experience I can tell you that most unplowed fire roads up there are going to be good.

Talked to a group that road to Valhalla yesterday and said it wasn't too bad on the fire roads
