Krupp's Resort is open for ATV riders with direct access to hundreds of miles of trails. All trails are open for side by sides. Relax by evening campfire after your ride.

3ddirt-as I understand the new maps are in print at this time. I am sending e-mail to Skip Schulz, president of ATV organization Mi-trale asking him to respond here regarding map availability and side-by-side information.

The new Western and parts of the Central UP ORV Trail Maps are AT THE PRINTERS as I am writing this. We hope to have them ready for sale and distribution at our April 2nd Mi-TRALE General Membership Meeting. That meeting will be at the Konteka in White Pine, starting at 7:00 pm ET.
Just so everyone knows, when we put out our first ORV Trail Map of the Western UP, we sold 5000 maps within a few months. This goes to show that this map has ALL of the trails that are signed by Mi-TRALE, along with some surrounding MDNR Designated ORV Routes. With the NEW trails that Mi-TRALE will be opening this spring, this map is going to be even more popular. My advice is to either come to the meeting, or send someone from the business you solicit to the meeting to get the maps.
As far as Side by Sides, ALL of the HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of miles of Mi-TRALE ORV Trails are open to Side by Sides. We do have some portions of some trails that are on private land, where the private landowner will not allow for Off Road Motorcycles and Jeeps/4WD. That was/is up to the Private Landowner.
Also, be aware that you will find some ORV Trail Maps that DO NOT have all the ORV Trails that Mi-TRALE developed and maintained. Those maps either just have that club's trails or the MDNR Designated ORV Trails.
For more information, you can go to the Mi-TRALE website; www.mi-trale.org
Don't forget, Mi-TRALE has developed and maintained ORV Trails in 5 Western UP Counties, and the majority of those trails are NOT funded by anything other then Membership Dues. This years Membership Campaign starts on April 1st.

Skip, again THANK YOU for all of the work you and Mi-TRALE put into the ORV trails. While you will not cover the same ground on an ATV as you do on a sled you can see some amazing places and have a great time as a family. Thanks again.

I would be interested in that answer as well because my son has a Yamaha TTR 50 and I would like to bring him along with me.

Skip,

Are Dual Sport Motorcycles (street legal) allowed on the sections that do not allow OHM's? Too bad they wont allow them.Short answer is no,the trails not open to bikes are on private property with no moto's clause in the use agreement. It is pitiful that some of the best riding terrain for bikes is off limits. The local economy is losing out big time by ignoring the off road m-cycles segment of the sport.I blame a lot of this on hysterical stereotypes of environmental damage created by bikes that is just not true.I would like to start a group of m-cyclists with interest in the area to get some m/c only trails in the area as well as be represented in the decision making processes when trails are being considered by local governing units
