My home town just opened a small brewery and pub. Haven't tried much from there, but what I have tried it was good.

From da good ol' days at MTU: Bosch Beer (http://www.mbcinfo.com/Breweries/Bosch/Brewery.html) — called "Busch-Bosch" by da locals, eh?
That term probably derives from this old commercial jingle, from the Michigan Tech Archives (audio, 120K WAV): Busch!, Bosch! (http://www.lib.mtu.edu/mtuarchives/bosch/bosch6.wav)

See also:
1. From Wikipedia: Bosch Brewing Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosch_Brewing_Company).
2. From the Michigan Tech Archives: The Bosch Brewing Company (http://www.admin.mtu.edu/urel/magazine/fall06/archives.html).
3. From PastyCam: Yooper Archeology (http://www.pasty.com/discuss/messages/1779/2088.html).
4. From Lindell Chocolate Shoppe: Lindell's History (http://lindellchocolateshoppe.net/history.html).

Oh yes indeedy, I did tip more than a few Bosch beers in my MTU college daze, primarily at Mike's Bar, now The Pilgrim River Steak House (About one mile south of the MTU campus on US-41.)

The Ol' MTU Pistol Club, our motto: "Drink 'til twelve, pistol too!" http://www.johndee.com/discuss/clipart/happy.gif
(But only after securing the pistols and the old MTU pistol range, in the basement of the old MTU Library annex, now the Academic Offices Building Annex!)

Busch light normally since us college kids at MTU can get a barrell from Jim's Food Mart for $63 plus tax!

At hunting camp, my uncle always gets a variety of New Glarus and my favorite would be Spotted Cow.

You can never pass up a $2.50 pint at the Keweenaw Brewing Company in Downtown Houghton!

Holy wha $63 bucks! I went back in the not so long ago machine and it was $48 bucks out the door at Jim's.

The new Leinie's Classic Amber is good, and so is Carlsberg Elephant. There is a lager called Wild Blue out, 8% alcohol with a touch of blueberry, but not thick and sweet like Berryweiss. All the microbrews and imports are good and STRONG. Anything Belgian is excellent. Sorry, I work part-time at a liquor store, so anything that's on the shelf is gonna end up in my gut eventually.

Any beer will do for me, as long as, I am staring at a sled all polished up and ready to ride! I could seriously sit in my garage all night and drink beer and stare at my sled. And I would be perfectly content to sit even longer and drink more beer if there was a strong sexy man with big arms bent over polishing that tunnel, too!

Depends on the time of year. I always love Leinie's Honey Weiss. This time of year through the winter I really love Leinie's Classic Amber. I do like Point October Fest, Pale Ale, and 2012 Black Ale. I will drink most any beer that is ice cold, but cannot do Boxer Beer. That crap is made in Monroe, WI and sells at a 36 pack for $11.99.

Skiroule,
If you are a fan out of the bottle, you have to try it on tap! Its even better!! The Trout Slayer and Scapegoat are both fine beers also. I wasn't a big fan of the IPA they make. I'm not a big IPA fan to begin with. They also make a bunch of seasonals that I'm sure we probably can't get east of the Mississip. I am especially curious about their Summer Honey Ale as I am also a big fan of Leine's Honey weiss.
