I know some of you still frequent our site, but I just wanted to let you know that I finished up a journal of one of our most fun adventures at the lake yet. Check it out at... http://www.formanekpond.com/toon/2009/8.22.09/home.htm

Jim~ Nice pictures, sorry to hear about you camera.

Check out this series of cameras from Olympus (http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital_sw.asp) I have the 850sw and love it. Taken it in the pool, water park and ocean so far and it still works great.
Found mine on the internet through e-bay but ordered right from the company and picked it up for around $150 with case, card, card reader, mini tripod, and cleaning kit.

Seems like it was a nice trip. Might need a little fiberglass repair for the botton of the doos, but then again they are only doos.

Jim in your 8/7 "journal" the girls are roasting some thing over the fire.....what is it?

I do look at your site once a week or so and always enjoy the journals.

Hope to make it up to your bar some time to meet ya and have a meal.

Thanks

Scott

Scott... Can't remember what my parents called them but it is biscuit dough stretched over the oiled wood piece. You keep turning it to get it to rise and then brown. Once done it falls off the stick and we filled it with cherry filling and whipping top. You could use anything to fill them. Something different than S'mores.

We make something similar using crescent roll dough. Then after cooking we fill them with pudding and cover partly with chocolate frosting. There kind of like an eclaire.

We used to call them "Dough boys" I liked butter the best.
