Just need a trail permit. They are sold at snowmobile dealers, gas stations etc....

Join the Michigan Snowmobile Association and you can purchase the trail permits by mail. Or, you can order them on line at www.msasnow.org/ (http://www.msasnow.org/)

We always just stop at the first gas station across the border so we have the permit right away

We always stop at the Holiday in Ironwood for our trail permit, 1 pound bag of Jerky and Sugar Free Rockstar! I think I heard the price is $35 this year on the permits.

They are available right on the MI DNR website. I bought mine last year through the website and I will do it again this year. Website is http://www.mdnr-elicense.com/welcome.asp
