My family and I took a trip to the lower peninsula of Mi during the last week.. We left on Tuesday morning and returned to home base by late on Saturday.. All told we put on about 1300 miles and it was the first time my two kids (7.5 & 1.5yrs) crossed the mighty mac.. We did attend a wedding that my wife was maid of honor in and that was cool... We broke up the trip on the way down and stayed in Mackinaw City and hit Mackinac Island too.. I'm sure glad to be back in the yoop, a tad to busy for me... We did manage to take some nasty colds home with us too. It sure seems busy down there both traffic and commerce!! Anyway, here are some shots of our trip..

Here we are on the way home on Saturday, a nice day for driving. But I'd have rather been outside in the yoop.

I always enjoy your pics. 1300 miles, you must have made it pretty close to the Indiana line. Or were you over by Detroit?? As far as busy, even though I live in the country I know what you mean. It just seems like lately the only busy I see is busy to get the heck out of this state!! Oh well, as long as I have a job and it snows I am happy.

ya, we were near the big D, the gps said it was 530 miles from my house to the hotel so that puts us at 1060 miles but then you add the city cruisin' too...
