Were leaving tomorrow for our first UP trip of the year. OH MY are we ready. Were taking the UP to Duluth actually to explore the North Shore & the Two Harbors area.Is there Anyone out there that can tell me how the color is? Where it's the best, I know were a little early. Where are the best ATV trails between Iron River & Duluth?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Just up in Two Harbors and Duluth area last weekend and I would say it is no different than what John showed in his journal, just a patch here and there.
As far as ATV trails, no idea. We were up in Ely, MN over Labor Day and they seemed to have a decent amount of them.
Have a great trip, the North Shore is awesome...just so darn peaceful.

Not much color yet that way. I'm thinking there are atv trails in the Silver Bay and Beaver Bay areas north of Duluth. Last June there was a huge atv ride in that area, over 1600 atv's participated. It was quite the sight!
Yes, if you drive an extra 40 miles up the north shore from Two Harbors to Silver Bay/Finland, you'll find some great ATV trails. There are also a bunch of them in the Iron River WI area.
But, no color changes yet really on the north shore. We'll be up in Finland next weekend and hopefully then we'll see some color.

I forgot to mention in the Iron River, Wis. area there is corridor #2, an old railway from Superior, Wis. to Ashland Wis. is a major atv trail. It's a snowmobile trail in winter. There are many interchanges along #2. Iron River attracts a lot of atv'ers. Lots of fun to you!

Spotty color in/near Duluth. Maybe 10-20%?

It's starting to look like the color season is on a roll; perhaps on target for peak color maybe in three weeks, around the second weekend in October for the Keweenaw?
