I know these climate change questions seem to get out of hand sometimes, and I don't want to start an argument that it is or is not happening, however I do have a question.

If global warming is happening, which I believe it is, if we reduce our emmissions and carbon dioxide going to the atmosphere will the atmosphere repair itself and reverse the process. I believe they are talking about getting to 5 or 10 percent below the 1990 level by 2012 or something like that. Is it likley that the earth would trend toward the weather that was considered normal then? It seemed that the winters were longer and had more snow then.

That is a pretty hard one to answer as it is my opinion on whether man made global warming is going on, which means it is still a theory and thus any change our behavior would have on the climate is also a theory.

With that said, I can say that Mother Nature does an excellent job of taking care of herself and repairing any damage done to her. So if there have been things that humans have done to the atmosphere to cause climate change, and we stop creating that damage, then I think there is an excellent chance that the atmosphere will be able to repair itself in time. How much time is another question.

Plus, keep in mind that the climate has been changing forever and will most likely continue to change no matter if humans have an influence or not. So expecting things in the climage to stay the same forever is not a very practical wish.
