Where is a good place to start for a personal weather station that will link w/ wunderground?
Would $500 be a good budget for decent equip? Can you recommend a brand? I also will need software unless they include it when you buy equip. If anybody knows a forum online I could look at, that would be real helpful too.
Thanks

I would suggest you check out Ambient Weather (http://www.ambientweather.com/).
There's at least plenty of interesting browsing to be had on their web site.
IMHO, the Davis Vantage Pro2 (http://www.ambientweather.com/davaproandpr.html) weather stations are about the best you can buy, short of professional equipment. Not cheap, by any means, though. Be sure to click on Ambient's special pricing links!

I use a Davis Weather Monitor II. I would reccommend any model from Davis. I would also say to avoid anything from La Crosse Technology. I have had nothing but bad luck with them.
I use Virtual Weather Station from Ambient.

I'd do a third on the Davis, and I work across the street from LaCrosse Technology!! Good spot to see reviews on prospective purchases is at the following link:

BTW there are 5 google ads for weather stations on the right. I almost didn't notice them. I guess I better check them all out.
