Need different land line phone service

I am looking for a new land line phone/internet service for the U.P. (other then AT&T). Any suggestions?

Here in Ontonagon, the only land line choice is Ontonagon Telephone Co. Jamadots, satellite or Charter for internet. No AT&T, no Charter phone here yet.

Personally, I have started to use Skpye for phone service.
