Looking for a dog kennel in Calumet/Lake Linden area

A little off subject, but since John obviously cares for the canine world I was wondering if John or others have recommendations for a dog boarding kennel in the Keweenaw area. We unfortunately have to find a temproary home for our collie for a week while we are on Isle Royale. Any suggestions?

We never kenneled Burt and Baileys, so I really cannot give you andy first hand experience. I can say that I have heard some pretty good things about Sturgeon River Kennels in Chassell.

I know of 3 good kennels in the area, Sturgeon River Kennels, Northwoods Pet Lodge, and Top Tog Kennels.

I know all 3 owners and they are all pet people, not just kennel owners.

Northwoods is the newest I think, In floor heat in winter A/C in the summer.
