10-27-2009, 11:48 AM
Yea, heard about the horrible story of that plane that got hi-jacked, I'm surprised the plane did not get wrecked.
10-27-2009, 02:13 PM
He fixed it with a $175 part. He posted it in his thread...

chad I dont spell my mane that way. You really get excited when someone calls you out dont you. Ha! I think this is just too funny. You guys are alright I dont care what your buddies say about you. Chad, I never said anything about having a mod sled or having the biggest or anything like that. All I said is that I had an xcr 800 " the fastest sled polaris". Look it up its the truth. If I knew how to put pics on here I could get some doc. for you. I am interested in hearing about your nos 700 cat though. That is what you have isnt it? Or maybe I have that screwed too. Sorry if I do. Oh by the way; I just sold my xcr so now I am down to one sled.

your "bone stock" 700 cat?
10-28-2009, 10:14 AM
That would be one of those days I wish I still had my old SnoX sled "Freight Train". Upset alot of big sleds with that one.
So Jeffy, what is the sled in the pic that you emailed? I'm guessing atleast a 1200 being a 4cyl. Is it a Union Bay build? Spill it.
well it is still a 700.If you don't have a fire cat in the 700 class you may as well leave it on the trailer!
10-28-2009, 10:49 AM
True that Ezra! And hopefully it's the 2003!
HTG motor nautrally aspirated 403 hp 1750cc cool stuff
10-28-2009, 06:58 PM
Does going fast in a straight line make it bigger? Straight line speed is for a Nancy...
10-28-2009, 07:30 PM

10-28-2009, 09:37 PM
Good times.... good times!!!
ha! I got some of that for christmas last year! LOL!!!
skylar, I was in your neighborhood yesterday!
10-29-2009, 09:14 AM
Your right Marty, when I raced sno-x we always use to say drags are for f..s(dont want to offend anybody). But when you start getting older sometimes it's the only type of racing were able to pull off and come to think of it I dont recall you being in shape to hit the sno-x track :-D
and yes marty some times just smelling VP burning makes it bigger.and just because you havent been on a 200+hp sled picked out start loading the air box with nos when the lights turn on and pull the triger and hold it for 660 ft then call them a nancy.then go home and start looking for a 03 f7 or a thunder
10-29-2009, 11:21 AM
Whats so specific about a 03 vs any other year F sled?
10-29-2009, 11:21 AM
LOL...just having fun...no sno-x jumping here, sitting and watching is what Iím resigned to at this age, you have to remember I have a few years on you. Back in the day (early 80ís) I had a Mazda RX7 followed by a Toyota MR2, all my friends had Mustangs, Camaros, even a Cuda and a Roadrunner they would puff up their chest about racing right until there was a few curves in the road, then I would wave goodbye. What Iím saying is I have always enjoyed the sports car experience over the muscle car one.
10-29-2009, 12:41 PM
LOL! Geeezzz Marty! You had to come back with a Mazda and Toyota! I thought only retired people in Florida bragged about there Toyota's!!! And I wont ever trade my 440 Cuda for something just because it goes around a corner! Had to give you some verbal abuse.<font color="ff0000"></font><font color="ff0000"></font><font color="ff0000"></font><font color="ff0000"></font>'s quiet down here on the bottom of the hill today!
10-29-2009, 02:17 PM
Saber, I believe the '03 was prefered over the other years because of quickness and top end, and if I'm not mistaken, '04 was when Cat went to the DD in the "F" which robbed top end. Anybody feel free to correct me, I don't offend easily.
I'm still not sold on the DD for performace. I'm not selling my '98 t just yet, because the Turbo Z1 doesn't come close.
10-29-2009, 03:28 PM
The DD started in 2005 with the Firecats. The 2004's were tamed down a bit from the 2003's. If you can find a 2003 F7 that made it past the first year bugs you'll be one of the quickest sled to date.
10-29-2009, 04:18 PM
You ever drive an MR2, mid-engine poor mans Ferrari, like driving a slot car (you are old enough to remember those arenít you) quickest car I ever owned, followed closely by the RX7.
Lots of great stories at KMS from the 03' Firecat, I wasnít here then but always a topic during story telling time, in fact there are a lot of crazy stories from the old KMS. Anyway, you are correct on the 03, either ran like crazy or blew up, caught fire, exploded etc., etc., etc. but when they ran they really could move.
10-29-2009, 06:43 PM
Marty, I grew up at a used car lot, not too many vehicles I haven't driven. Not saying there not fun but man I need something with horse power and bark! They tried telling me to get back into stock car racing in the 4cyl. class. I told the guy when I was 16 I was racing a 325hp V8 and now you want me to go around the track in a front wheel drive 120hp car!?! Sorry no can do.
And I remember hanging around the old KMS during the 2003 F7 era, interesting time indeed! Was glad I had the 440 but man those F7's ripped.
the 03 was also lighter if you cant find a 03 or o4 then you have to look for a f with reverse and if that cant be found saber time I dont think any of them had DD.but I dont think the saber came with rebuild shocks so adding spacers to the shock,s to suck them down is out and no rock hard rear shock setting.if john's out look is right I may be spending more time on the Ice than I want to
10-29-2009, 09:12 PM
I have a buddy who has an 03 Firecat, it's for sale also.
10-29-2009, 10:39 PM
03 F7's are sweet sleds, still tearing up the drag strips and breaking records!
I also like the ZR900, even with the DD
10-29-2009, 11:38 PM
Ok, now I wana race. SNOW...NOW!
